Our Story Singing for Peace
Press archive
The Gangjeong Peace and Music Camp is an annual independent festival in Gangjeong, a small village on Jeju Island that has resisted naval base construction since 2007. This archive gathers reporting from Korean dailies, independent music webzines, and international peace outlets that have covered the camp since its first edition in 2023.
Korean-language pieces tend to dig into Jeju's post-4·3 history and village-level storytelling, while Japanese and English coverage frames the camp alongside other East Asian base struggles in Okinawa, Guam, and the Philippines. Each card opens the original article on the publisher's own site.
Coverage spikes around each festival window and the links below preserve lineups, crowdfunding milestones, and on-site photography for future reference. Use the filter chips to narrow results by year or event.
